Teriyaki Bourbon Pork Chops

Ingredients:


4 chops pork chops, boneless, butterfly -- 4 1/2 inch thick

1 cup teriyaki bourbon sauce

---TERIYAKI BOURBON SAUCE:

1 whole garlic head -- minced

2 tablespoons onions -- minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 cup pineapple juice

1/4 cup teriyaki sauce

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 1/3 cups dark brown sugar

1/2 tablespoons lemon-juice only

2 tablespoons bourbon whiskey

1 tablespoon crushed pineapple

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
 

Preparation / Directions:


PORK CHOPS: Place pork chops between 2 piecces of plastic wrap and pound until 4 inches thick. Grill over over medium coals for 7 minutes. Turn and grill for another 6 minutes. Use teriyaki bourbon sauce to baste chops while cooking. Serve additional sauce along side chops. TERIYAKI BOURBON SAUCE: Cook the garlic and onion in the olive oil until softened. Stir in pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce soy sauce, and brown sugar. Stir occasionally until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Simmer for 15 minutes longer. Use to baste chops as they cook. Serve extra sauce along side chops.
