Preparation / Directions:Cook potatoes and onions in rapidly boiling salted water until tender, about 15 minutes Make paste of flour and 1/2 cup milk; add remaining 1 1/2 cups milk and stir until well blended. Add flour mixture to potatoes and cook until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally; add pepper and butter.
Puree soup in batches.
