Green Pea Pie

Ingredients:


1 crust unbaked pastry shell 9 inch

8 slices bacon

2 medium onions

1 packages frozen peas -- (10-oz.) partially defrosted

4 large eggs

1 1/2 Cup milk

1 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper
 

Preparation / Directions:


Dice, fry, and drain the bacon. Pour off all but about 1/4 c. drippings and in this saute the thinly sliced onions until limp. Layer onions, bacon, and peas in pastry shell. Beat the other ingredients and pour over. Bake in the lower part of a 400 F oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the custard is set.
