Lagered Kraut With Apple

Ingredients:

16 ounces sauerkraut
1 medium apple
9 ounces beer
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon butter
1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
 

Preparation / Directions:

rinse sauerkraut well, drain combine all ingredients in a saucepan, over a moderate flame bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring often, until most of the liquid has evaporated serve hot
