Figs Stuffed With Almonds And Chips

Ingredients:


6 medium figs or dates

2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips

1/4 cup toasted slivered almonds

1 tablespoon orange liqueur -- or marsala wine
 

Preparation / Directions:


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cut each fig in half. Combine the remaining ingredients. Spoon about 2 teaspoons of the stuffing into each fig half. Bake on a cookie sheet for 10 minutes. If you can't find fresh figs, then stuff the mixture inside dried figs. Cut a little opening in the top of the fig and spoon in the stuffing.
