1/2 cup butter
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup almond brickle pieces
1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate pieces

Preparation / Directions:

Cook and stir butter and unsweetened chocolate in a medium saucepan over low heat till melted. Remove from heat. Beat in sugar, eggs, and vanilla with a wooden spoon till combined. Do not overmix. Stir in flour. Spread the batter into a greased 8x8x2 inch baking pan. Sprinkle with almond brickle and chocolate pieces. Bake in a 350 F oven for 30 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.
