Beef 'n Bean Barbecue Bake

1 pound ground beef
1 can pork and beans -- (16oz)
1/2 cup kraft barbecue sauce
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 loaf velveeta pasteurized process cheese
1 can pillsbury refrigerated buttermilk or country style biscuits -- (8oz)

Preparation / Directions:

Brown meat; drain. Add pork and beans, barbecue sauce, onion and salt; simmer 5 minutes. Stir in 1/4 pound velveeta cubes. Pour into a 11 3/4 x 7 1/2 inch baking dish. Cut biscuits in half, forming half circles. Place, cut side down, around edge of casserole. Bake at 375 degrees, 20 minutes. Top with additional velveeta slices; return to oven until velveeta melts. 6 servings.
