CAJUN Okra SLICES

Ingredients:

1/2 Pound okra
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon Water
3/4 cup All-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons Cajun spice blend
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Vegetable oil
 

Preparation / Directions:

Okra is a popular southern vegetable of African origin. Prepare okra slices as directed. Mix eggs and water in small bowl. Mix flour, Cajun spice and salt in another small bowl. Dip okra into egg mixture, then coat with flour mixture. Repeat with remaining okra.Heat oil in 10-inch skillet until hot. Fry okra in oil in single layer over medium-high heat 4 to 5 minutes or until golden brown, turning halfway through cooking.
