Baked Cheddar Tomatoes with Red Pepper

Ingredients:


5 medium tomatoes cut in half crosswise

2 tablespoons Olive oil

3/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup soft breadcrumbs

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese -- (4 oz.)

1/4 cup butter -- melted

1 teaspoon dried whole basil

1/2 teaspoon red pepper
 

Preparation / Directions:


Brush cut surface of tomato halves with olive oil; sprinkle with salt. Place tomato halves in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Spoon over cut surface of tomatoes. Bake at 350 F for 12 to 15 minutes or until tomatoes are thoroughly heated and cheese melts.
