Stir-Fried Beef And Broccoli

Ingredients:


1/2 cup cold water

2 tablespoons cornstarch

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 pound beef sirloin steak -- boneless

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1 package frozen chopped broccoli -- thawed and drained

1 cup orange juice

3 cups hot cooked rice
 

Preparation / Directions:


Mix water, cornstarch and soy sauce. Trim fat from beef. Cut beef with grain into 2-inch strips; cut strips across grain into 1/8-inch slices. Heat 12-inch skillet or wok over medium-high heat until hot. Add oil; rotate skillet to coat side. Add beef, ginger and garlic powder; Stir-fry about 3 minutes or until beef is brown. Add broccoli; stir-fry 2 minutes. Stir in orange juice;; heat to boiling. Stir in cornstarch mixture; cook and stir about 1 minutes or until thickened. Serve with rice.
