Grandma Zappulla's Minute Steak

Ingredients:


1 pound roast beef -- (small) very thinly sliced

3 cloves lots of fresh garlic cloves -- diced

1 cup virgin italian olive oil -- (to taste, rarely measured)

1 dash salt and pepper

1 bunch fresh basil

1 medium fresh squeezed lemon juice
 

Preparation / Directions:


In a preheated skillet lightly coat the bottom with a teaspoonful of olive oil. Fry the thin steaks for just enough time to sear the outside but leave the inside pink (perhaps a minute on each side depending on the thinness of the cut. Dip the fried steak in the olive oil. Put it on a plate; sprinkle on some of the diced garlic and basil. Squeeze some lemon juice on top (to taste). Salt and pepper to taste.
