BUTTERED Spinach WITH NUTMEG

Ingredients:


1 bunch fresh spinach leaves -- (1 lb.)

1/3 cup water

1/2 Cup Butter

1 teaspoon Salt

1 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
 

Preparation / Directions:


Combine spinach leaves and 1/3 c. water in a large saucepan. Partially cover so that some steam can escape; cook over moderately low heat (about 225 F) about 10 minutes. Drain thoroughly and season with butter and salt; sprinkle with nutmeg.
