Beer-Boiled Shrimp

Ingredients:


2 bottles beer -- (do not use dark or amber) (12 ounces each)

1 tablespoon whole black pepper

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper

2 pieces bay leaves

2 pounds large uncooked shrimp -- in shells

1 bottles cocktail sauce
 

Preparation / Directions:


Combine beer, peppercorns, red pepper and bay leaves in heavy large saucepan. Bring to boil. Add shrimp to saucepan. Cover and boil just until shrimp are opaque, about 5 minutes. Drain. Transfer shrimp to large bowl. Serve with cocktail sauce. Prep Time: 3 minutes Cook Time: 5 minutes Makes: 4 servings Peel-and-eat shrimp are one of the easiest dinners you can make for your family. Pair them with a green salad and some cornbread and you have a complete dinner.
