French Fried Scallops

Ingredients:


2 pounds scallops

2 large eggs -- beaten

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon salt

1 dash pepper

1 cup dry bread crumbs
 

Preparation / Directions:


If scallops are large, cut in halves. Combine eggs, milk and seasonings. Roll scallops in crumbs; dip in egg mixture and again roll in crumbs. Fry in deep fat (375 degrees) for 2 to 5 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towel. Serve hot with catsup or tartar sauce or lemon.
