|1 bottle Japanese soy sauce
|2 tablespoons wasabi powder (available in Japanese markets)
|1 tablespoons water to mix wasabi powder into a stiff paste
|1 pound Live abalone
Preparation / Directions:
Wash whole piece of meat from an abalone in cold water, and trim off all
black edges. With a very sharp knife, score meat all across top and bottom
surfaces about 1/8 inch apart and 1/4 inch deep. Slice meat across the
lines (right angles) into strips as thin as possible. Dip strips into soy or
dipping sauce. Makes first course for about 6 people.
Note: As you eat, mix wasabi with soy sauce according to your taste.
