Crystal Hot Sauce Beurre Blanc

Ingredients:


5 ounces crystal hot sauce

1 dash garlic

1 dash shallot

2 ounces heavy cream

1 1/4 pound butter
 

Preparation / Directions:


Saute garlic and shallots in a pan with a little butter. Add Crystal Hot Sauce and reduce by 75%. Add cream and reduce again by 50%. Slowly whip in softened butter a little at a time. Use in Shrimp and Tasso with Five Pepper Jelly Lu's Notes: Beurre Blanc is used to season soups and sauces. This spicy version would be great in a creamy pasta sauce, a gumbo or a chowder if you want a bit of a kic
