Green Tomato Pie

Ingredients:


2 crust pastry for two-crust pie

3 cups green tomato -- sliced thin

1 1/3 cups sugar

3 tablespoons flour

3/4 teaspoon cinnamon

5 tablespoons lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons margarine
 

Preparation / Directions:


Heat oven to 450 degrees. Prepare favorite pie crust. Combine tomatoes, sugar, flour, cinnamon, lemon juice and salt. Line a 9-inch pie pan with pastry and pour in filling. Dot with margarine or butter. Cover with top crust. Bake 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 40 to 50 minutes.
