Grandma Whistler's Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients:


1 can pumpkin -- large

1 1/2 cups sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ginger

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

2 tablespoons cornstarch

2 large eggs

4 tablespoons light brown karo syrup

2 1/2 cups milk
 

Preparation / Directions:


Mix dry ingredients and add to pumpkin. Heat milk and Karo and pour over 2 well beaten eggs. Stir the mixture into the pumpkin mixture. Bake at 425 for 10-15 minutes until crust if lightly browned. Reduce heat to 325 and bake 25-30 minutes longer or until knife inserted in center shows it's se
