Linguine With Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients:


1 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic minced

1 cup thinly sliced domestic mushrooms

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/4 cup skim milk -- or heavy cream

1 tablespoons cornstarch

1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

1 dash freshly ground black pepper

1 package desired amount of linguine cooked
 

Preparation / Directions:


Saute garlic in olive oil using a medium non-stick skillet or saucepan. Add mushrooms and stir to coat with garlic and oil. Saute until mushrooms start to soften. Combine broth, milk or cream, cornstarch, cardamom and pepper in a small bowl and whisk until smooth. Stir into mushroom mixture and simmer until slightly thickened. Pour mushroom sauce over cooked pasta and toss to coat. NOTES: Double the recipe for 4 servings.
