Ingredients:


2 tablespoons butter

1/2 large onion -- chopped

1/2 cup bell pepper -- chopped

1 teaspoon salt

3/4 teaspoon cayenne

1/2 teaspoon thyme

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon cumin

1 pound lean beef -- ground

1 large egg -- beaten

1/2 cup bread crumbs

1/2 cup catsup -- divided

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
 

Preparation / Directions:


Preheat oven to 375F. Melt butter in heavy skillet over medium-low heat. Add onion, bell pepper and spices, cook, stirring frequently, for 10 minutes or until onions and bell peppers begin to soften. Combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, 1/4 cup of the catsup and the Worcestershire sauce. Mix well. Add sautéed onions and bell peppers. Form into a loaf. Bake for 20 minutes. Spread remaining catsup on top, bake for 40 more minutes.
