Uncooked Marinade For Meats

Ingredients:


1 cup water

1 cup wine

6 pieces peppercorns

1 pieces bay leaf

8 whole cloves

1 medium onion -- thinly sliced

1 teaspoon crushed dried thyme, rosemary or marjoram
 

Preparation / Directions:


Combine all ingredients and store in tupperware - makes about 1 cup, or enough for 5 pounds of meat. Note: dry white wine will give a more delicate flavor, but for red meats and game or venison, dry red win is preferred. When ready to use, place meat in season serve, pour marinade over, and invert container several times while marinating.
