Strawberry Cream

3 tablespoons sliced almonds
2 pints strawberries
4 medium peaches
3 tablespoons almond liqueur
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 package butter cookies

Preparation / Directions:

Heat broiler. Scatter almonds on cookie sheet and toast lightly. In food processor lightly puree the strawberries and peaches together. Add liqueur and pulse until mixed. Add cream. Process a few seconds. Pour mixture into a mixing bowl and sweeten to taste with sugar. Chill until ready to serve. Serve in dishes with butter cookies on the side. Approximately 4-6 minutes.
