Harvest Grape Apples

Ingredients:

4 medium baking apples
1 1/2 cups california grapes -- halved and seeded
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1/2 cup walnuts -- chopped
1 tablespoon corn syrup
1 tablespoon rum
---RUM ICE CREAM SAUCE---
1 pint vanilla ice cream -- softened
2 tablespoons rum
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
 

Preparation / Directions:

1. Wash and core apples, making a large center hole for grapes. 2. Mix together grapes, sugar, nuts, corn syrup and rum; fill apple hollows with mixture. 3. Bake in preheated 350 F. oven 45 minutes, or until apples are tender. Serve with Rum Ice Cream Sauce. Rum Ice Cream Sauce 1. Mix ice cream with rum. 2. Spoon over apples; sprinkle with cinnamon.
