Halibut Delight

Ingredients:


1 pound halibut -- cut into chunks

1 cup flour

1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 1/2 teaspoons curry powder -- - (or a bit less)

1 teaspoon marjoram

2 teaspoons baking powder

3/4 teaspoon lemon pepper

2 cups panko -- -(Japanese potato -- flakes or crumbs)

12 ounces flat beer -- +/-
 

Preparation / Directions:


Combine flour, garlic powder, curry powder, marjoram, baking powder, and lemon pepper. Mix well. Slowly add enough flat beer to make a thick batter. Dip halibut in batter and then roll in Panko. Let stand for 2 minutes. Deep fry in 375F fat until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper and serve with a tartar sauce or a zesty tomato, horseradish sauce for dipping.
