Ingredients:


1 pound pinto beans -- * see note

1/3 cup vegetable shortening

1 medium onion -- chopped

5 cloves garlic minced

4 ounces green chilies -- chopped

1 1/2 teaspoons cumin

3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 1/2 teaspoons salt
 

Preparation / Directions:


* cooked and drained with liquid reserved Fry and mash beans in shortening. Add rest of ingredients and heat.
