Peanut Butter Blossoms

Ingredients:


1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar -- packed

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup shortening

1/2 cup peanut butter

2 tablespoons milk

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 Cup sugar

48 medium milk chocolate chips
 

Preparation / Directions:


Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, shortening, peanut butter, milk, egg, and vanilla. Blend at low speed, until stiff dough forms. Shape into 1 inch balls; roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately top each cookie with a chocolate chip, pressing firmly so cookie cracks around edges; remove from cookie sheets. Cool completely.
