Deluxe Beets

Ingredients:

1/2 cup brown sugar -- firmly packed
2 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup vinegar
1 cup water -- (or syrup from pineapple plus water)
1/2 cup raisins
9 ounce crushed pineapple
2 tablespoons butter
16 ounces beets canned, drained
 

Preparation / Directions:

Blend sugar, flour, and salt in pan. Add vinegar and water. Add raisins, pineapple, and butter. Cook until thick, stirring. Add beets and heat thoroughly.
