Marinated Mozzarella

1 pound mozzarella cheese -- cut into thin 2 inch squares
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh parsley -- finely chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves -- crushed
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 bunch fresh basil leaves for garnish
1 package bagel chips or crackers to serve

Preparation / Directions:

Place cheese in a single layer in a 10 1/2 x 15 1/2-inch jelly-roll pan. In a small bowl, whisk oil, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and pepper. Pour over cheese. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight to allow flavors to blend, turning slices occasionally. Arrange slices on a serving plate; garnish with fresh basil. Serve with bagel chips or crackers.
