Ingredients:

3 cups brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup water
2 large egg whites -- beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
 

Preparation / Directions:

Dissolve 3 cups brown sugar and 1/4 teaspoon salt in 3/4 cup of water. Cook without stirring, to hard ball stage. Pour gradually over 2 egg whites that have been beaten stiff. Beat constantly. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and continue beating until cool. Drop by teaspoonfuls on wax paper
