Mom's Peanut Butter Candy

6 Cups light brown sugar
2 Cups granulated sugar
1 cup margarine or butter
1 can evaporated milk
1 Jar marshmallow cream
1 1/2 Cup favorite nuts
1 Jar smooth peanut butter
1 Teaspoon vanilla

Preparation / Directions:

Place first four ingredients in heavy sauce pan. Cook slowly, stirring often. Cook to soft ball stage. Add remaining ingredients and stir candy vigorously. Pour into pan covered with foil. When candy is firm, invert candy onto cutting board and cut into small squares. Store in tightly covered container in a cool place.
