Pastel Marble Cake

Ingredients:

2 1/4 Cups Cake Flour
1 1/2 Cups Sugar
1/2 Cup Margarine Or Butter, Softened
1 cup Buttermilk
1 1/2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
2 large eggs
1 bottle Red And Green Food Color
 

Preparation / Directions:

Heat oven to 350. Grease and flour rectangular pan 13x9x2 inches. Beat all ingredients, except food color, in large bowl on medium speed, scraping bowl constantly until blended, about 30 seconds. Beat on high speed, scraping bowl occasionally, 3 minutes. Divide batter into 3 equal parts. Tint 1/3 pink with 2 or 3 drops red food color and tine 1/3 green with 2 or 3 drops food color. Drop batter by alternate color spoonfuls into pan. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 40 to 45 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool completely.
