Ingredients:


2 1/2 cups sugar

1 cup water

1 medium lemon -- sliced

8 sticks cinnamon -- 3 inches long

1 quart pineapple juice

1 quart orange juice

5 cups Sauterne

1/2 cup dry sherry

1/2 cup lemon juice

1 medium Pineapple wedges
 

Preparation / Directions:


Combine sugar, water, lemon, and cinnamon sticks in a medium saucepan, bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes; stirring constantly. Combine next 5 ingredients in a large Dutch oven; bring to a boil, cover, and simmer 10 minutes. Stir in sugar syrup and heat thoroughly. Remove lemon slices and cinnamon sticks. Garnish each serving with a pineapple wedge.
