Quick And Easy Chili

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium Onion -- chopped
2 cloves garlic -- chopped
1 pound lean ground beef
3 tablespoons chili powder
2 cans chili beans -- (16 ounces each)
1 can crushed tomatoes with added puree -- (28 ounces)
1 package grated cheddar cheese
1 medium red onion -- finely chopped
1 cup sour cream
 

Preparation / Directions:

Heat oil in heavy large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and saute 5 minutes. Add ground beef and saute until cooked through. Drain off any grease. Add chili powder and stir for 1 minute. Add chili beans and tomatoes. Bring to simmer. Cook 15 minutes to thicken and blend flavors. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve with cheese, red onion and sour cream. Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 25 minutes Makes: 4 servings Chili is a universal favorite. This one goes together quickly because it begins with chili flavored beans.
