Old Style Baked Beans

Ingredients:

2 pounds navy beans
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
4 cups onion
2 teaspoons salt
4 teaspoons dry mustard
1/4 pound bacon
 

Preparation / Directions:

combine beans and 12 cups water in a dutch oven, over a high flame heat for a boil, boil for 2 minutes, and remove from heat cover and allow to stand for 60 minutes, drain well add 12 cups water and place over a high flame heat to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 60 minutes stir in remaining ingredients-mix well bake, covered, @ 350 degrees for 60 minutes bake, uncovered, @ 350 degrees for 60 minutes serve hot
