Baked Asparagus Gruyere

1 teaspoon unsalted butter
1 pound asparagus
3 teaspoons water
1/2 cup gruyere cheese
3 teaspoons pine nuts
1 teaspoon olive oil
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Preparation / Directions:

melt butter in an ovenproof skillet, over a medium flame arrange asparagus in pan add 3 tablespoons water cover and cook over a high flame to steam for 2 minutes sprinkle stems (not tips) with cheese and nuts drizzle with oil, sprinkle with pepper bake, uncovered, @ 350 degrees for 5 minutes, until cheese melts serve hot
