Oriental Dipping Sauce For Artichokes

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
4 tablespoons cider vinegar
4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Preparation / Directions:

Combine all ingredients; mix well. Serve as a dipping sauce with cooked artichokes. Makes about 3/4 cup. Variation: Creamy Thai Sauce: Blend 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter with the Oriental Dipping Sauce. Mix thoroughly.
