French-Fried Onion Rings

6 cups sweet red onion
1 large egg
1/2 cup milk
1 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups corn oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper

Preparation / Directions:

Separate onions into rings combine eggs and milk-mix well add flour and salt, stir to make a batter heat oil to 375 degrees dip onions in batter, allowing excess to drip off add onions to hot oil and fry until golden turn and fry until golden drain on paper towels serve season with salt and pepper hot or warm
