Ingredients:

4 whole Corn -- as much as you like (Corn silk removed but HUSKS stay)

4 cups Water - lots - to cover corn

2 Cups milk

1/3 Cup sugar

2 Teaspoons salt

Preparation / Directions:

Prepare the corn. Heat lots of water in an 8 quart pot. Add the milk, sugar and salt and let water come to the boil again. Dump in the corn and allow water to get back to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer about 8-10 minutes. Serve with butter, or my favorite way, showered with black pepper. Leave the husks ON. Boil it in water, milk, sugar and salt. The husks add flavor and dimension, the brew of milk, water and sugar rejuvenate tough corn. No - this is not ten minute old corn, but pretty good corn all the same. Tender, plump and buttery-tasting. Something to hold on to till summer brings back its freshness.
