Baked Cauliflower

Ingredients:

1 large cauliflower
25 grams butter
4 medium green onions -- finely chopped
2 tablespoons flour
225 milliliters milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1 dash tabasco
1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
2 tablespoons grated parmesan
 

Preparation / Directions:

1. Cook cauliflower whole, in boiling, salted water, about 20 minutes. Drain and place in baking dish. 2. In small skillet, melt butter and saute green onions over medium-low heat for 5 minutes. Blend in flour and cook for 3 minutes over low heat. Slowly stir in the milk and simmer until smooth and thick, stirring constantly. Add the salt, pepper, and Tabasco and then pour the sauce over the cauliflower. 3. Sprinkle with the bread crumbs and cheese. In a preheated 190 øC oven, bake about 20 minutes or until slightly browned. Difficulty : easy. Precision : measure ingredients.
