Baked Tomatoes

Ingredients:


4 medium tomatoes -- cut in half crosswise

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper

1/2 cup soft breadcrumbs -- toasted

3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

2 cloves garlic -- minced

1/2 teaspoon dried whole thyme

1/4 teaspoon dried whole oregano

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 bunch Fresh parsley sprigs -- (optional)
 

Preparation / Directions:


Place tomato halves in a lightly greased 12 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish. Sprinkle salt and pepper over cut surface of each tomato half. Combine next 6 ingredients; mix well, and spoon over cut surface of each tomato. Bake at 350 F for 12 to 15 minutes or until tomato is thoroughly heated. Garnish with parsley sprigs, if desired.
