Split Pea Soup 2

Ingredients:


1/2 pound bacon

2 cups onion

2 cups carrot

2 cups potato

1 pound green split peas

7 cups water

10 ounces beef consomme

1 piece bay leaf

1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon black pepper
 

Preparation / Directions:


saute bacon until brown, but not crisp add onions and saute for 2 minutes add remaining ingredients heat to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 2 hours remove and discard bay leaf transfer to a food processor or blender process to a smooth puree season to taste serve hot
