Preparation / Directions:Rinse and sort peas. In large soup kettle combine peas, water, and ham; simmer, covered 2 - 2 1/2 hours. Add remaining ingredients; simmer, covered 45 minutes. Remove bones. For thicker soup simmer 20-30 minutes more uncovered.
