Nanny's Pignolia Crescents

1 cup pignolia nuts
1 3/4 cups flour
1 stick butter/soft
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 large egg white -- beaten

Preparation / Directions:

Preheat oven to 350. Finely grind half of the nuts. Mix all ingredients but the egg white. Shape by rounded teaspoon into 2" crescent, one inch apart on ungreased sheet. Press nuts into dough. Brush with egg white. Bake 15 minutes.
