Crab Strudel

1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon butter
1 cup onion
1 teaspoon garlic
1/2 pound lump crabmeat
3/4 cup white wine
8 ounces cream cheese
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon tabasco sauce
3 ounces frozen filo dough

Preparation / Directions:

Saute onion in 1 tablespoon butter, until softened add garlic and saute for 1 minute add crab and wine, simmer until all liquid has evaporated remove from heat and allow to cool combine crab mixture, cream cheese, salt, and worcestershire sauce-mix well add tabasco sauce to taste place 2 filo sheets onto a damp kitchen towel and brush with melted butter add 2 more sheets and brush with butter repeat until 12 sheets are stacked spoon filling onto 1 edge of filo, leaving 3-inches on each side clear fold dough over filling twice fold in edges and fold to the end seal loose edge with butter place, seam side down, onto a greased jelly roll pan score top to allow steam to escape brush top with butter bake @ 350 degrees for 40 minutes finish browning under a broiler if necessary slice into individual servings garnish with almonds serve hot
