Sweet-Tangy Bbq Sauce

Ingredients:


1/4 cup unsalted butter

1 cup onion

2 tablespoons garlic

1 teaspoon hungarian paprika

2 cups tomato sauce

1/3 cup white wine vinegar

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon dry mustard

1/2 teaspoon liquid hot pepper sauce

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 tablespoon dark brown sugar

1/4 cup light molasses

2 tablespoons cream sherry
 

Preparation / Directions:


Heat butter in a saucepot, over a medium flame add onions and saute for 3-4 minutes add garlic and saute for 2-3 minutes add paprika and dry mustard-mix well add remaining ingredients-mix well bring to the boil and reduce flame to low heat and stir for 12-15 minutes, until thickened remove from heat and allow to cool use as a mop or dunk
