Jellied Pear Ginger Salad

1 pound can pear halves
3 ounces lemon flavor gelatin
7 ounces ginger ale
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon minced candied ginger
1 Package salad greens
3 ounces pimiento cream cheese
2 tablespoons salad dressing or mayonnaise

Preparation / Directions:

Drain pears and put 1 cup syrup in saucepan. Bring to boil and pour over gelatin. Stir until dissolved. Cool; then stir in ginger alse and lemon juice. Chill until slightly thickened. Pour 1/2 cup into 8" round glass dish. Arrange pear halves, cut side down, in dish with points toward center. Add ginger to remaining gelatin mixture and spoon on pears. Chill until firm. Unmold on plate lined with greens. Cut in wedges. Beat cream cheese and salad dressing together and serve as dressing
