Ingredients:


1 cup cooked wild rice -- (about 1/4 cup)

1/3 cup light brown sugar -- crumbled

1/2 cup raisins

1/2 cup pecans -- chopped
 

Preparation / Directions:


Makes about 2 cups 1. Combine the wild rice with brown sugar, raisins and pecans; this will keep, tightly covered and refrigerated, several days. 2. Spoon over vanilla ice cream, pudding or custard. NOTE: This granola-like wild rice snack topping is a "from dawn to midnight" kind of food: Serve as is for a quick and easy snack Add a little milk to make a nice breakfast food. Or try sprinkling some over your morning oatmeal. It's also delicious stirred into a bread pudding. Originally this recipe was intended as a dessert topping for ice cream or puddings; now yogurt lovers pile it over plain or vanilla-flavored yogurt A jar of this nutritious wild rice combo will keep in the refrigerator up to a week Especially nice for a 1 - or 2-person househol
