Wheat Parfait

Ingredients:


1 cup bulgar wheat or cracked wheat -- dry

2 1/2 cups water

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup sugar

1 can crushed pineapple -- 15 ounces, drained

1 large box lemon or vanilla instant pudding

8 ounces cool whip lite
 

Preparation / Directions:


Mix bulgar, water, salt and sugar in a saucepan. Cover. Cook over low heat until water is gone and bulgar is tender. Cover and cook over low heat an additional 5 minutes. Chill. Layer bulgar followed by layer of pineapple and pudding repeating a second time and serving in tall glasses or pretty serving bowl. Top with Cool Whip and chill.
