Apple Bread Pudding

Ingredients:


2 cups coarse -- stale bread crumbs

1/4 teaspoon mace

1/4 teaspoon cloves

1 cup milk

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1 1/2 cups chopped apples

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 cup sugar

3 large eggs -- slightly beaten

3/4 cup raisins

1 teaspoon brandy extract

1/4 cup flour

3/4 cup chopped citron -- (optional)

---hard sauce

1/2 cup butter

2 teaspoons vanilla

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
 

Preparation / Directions:


Mix crumbs with milk and cook until milk is absorbed. Add other ingredients in order given and mix well. Pour into heavily-buttered baking dish. Bake at 375 degrees about 45 minutes. Serve with Hard Sauce. Hard Sauce Cream ingredients together.
