Boiled Herring With Potatoes (Hot Dish)

Ingredients:


12 fillets holland herring

6 medium potatoes

1/4 Cup vinegar

1 bunch parsley

1 recipe butter cream sauce
 

Preparation / Directions:


Frshen the herrings in water for 24 to 36 hours, changing water 2 or 3 times, remove entrails, scrape and wash. Put them on to boil in cold water, adding a little vinegar to the water. Boil gently for about 5 to 7 minutes, adding some parsley. Serve with boiled potatoes and butter creamsauce.
